This course will explore some of the critical issues that impact onsocial work services for children and their families and examine anintegrative model for assessing the needs of children and others inthe family in order to develop appropriate strategies for intervention.Cultural and ethnic issues in working with children and with specialneeds children and their families and will be emphasized. Studentswill also examine ethical issues of this field of practice as well asother issues related to diversity, spirituality, power, conflict, abuseand neglect, divorce and blended families will be addressed.Pre-requisites: SW 301 and SW 302
