College Now

College Now, a free college transition and dual enrollment program, is a major partnership between CUNY and NYCDOE, enlisting 18 colleges and over 420 NYC public high schools in its mission to help students successfully transition to college. Offered after the students’ high school day, the program provides scholars a full college experience by attending classes on campus at Medgar Evers College. Although some courses may be held at the high school, students still experience the same rigor as they are academically challenged by Medgar Evers College faculty. The program provides applicants with college credit courses aligned with first-year study at CUNY colleges. It offers rigorous freshman-level college credit as well as developmental coursework at no cost to students and parents. High school scholars have the opportunity to earn up to 15 credits where most are transferrable within any CUNY and SUNY institution. Medgar Evers College Now program also provides full-day summer programs and access to CUNY campus facilities and events.
