Description
This course will familiarize students with the varied computer programming languages and the techniques used in manipulating data and solving problems. It involves a survey of the salient characteristics of current programming languages and will include the learning of a specific language. The design will allow students to integrate theory with practice with primary emphasis on their relevance to data analysis. Students will write programs in PASCAL language that highlight and compare its major features with other languages. Topical coverage will include the basics of the language, problem-solving and programming. There will be brief discussions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its programming languages.
