Description
This course is designed to provide non-science majors with the mathematical background required for the applications of elementary quantitative methods to problems in business and the social sciences. The topics covered include basic probability theory and its applications, introductory statistics, matrices and linear programming, as well as concepts from precalculus and calculus such as set relations and functions, introduction to limits, and the rule for differentiating simple algebraic functions.
