A rigorous introduction to the modern theory of differential geometry which will enhance students' abilities to use analysis and computers to solve intricate geometry problems. Among the topics to be treated are plane curves, curves in space, tubes and knots, calculus on Euclidean space, non-orientable surfaces, ruled surfaces, intrinsic geometry, principal curves and umbilic points on surfaces, and minimal surfaces.
