Description

This course introduces the student to the nursing process and assists the student to gain mastery of the nursing process, nursing and communication skills required to provide practical nursing care to clients. The college laboratory focuses on the beginning acquisition on psychomotor practical nursing skills. Clinical experiences permit the student to transfer nursing content and communication skills into practice within a nursing process framework. Students begin to relate the integration of knowledge obtained from nursing; physical science and the humanities to plan nursing care in long term care settings.
