Description

In this course the student will utilize the nursing process with a focus on assessment in the acquisition of health teaching, early case finding, referral and follow-up skills. The problem-oriented record keeping system is the method used for recording client data. The college laboratory provides opportunities for the development and refinement of assessment skills in the identification of normal states and/or deviation from wellness in family clients of various ages. The student will learn to write a nursing history and to perform a complete physical examination for clients.
