This course is designed to promote the student's understanding of the research process, using critical appraisal. Upon completion of the course, the student can review and use research findings in nursing and other disciplines, which are applicable to clinical practice. Emphasis is placed on using research as the basis for clinical decision-making that demonstrates quality and cost-effective outcomes in nursing care. Ethical, moral and legal issues are considered in relation to nursing research.
