Pn Skills Lab I

This course introduces the student to the nursing process and assiststhe student to gain mastery of the nursing process, nursing andcommunication skills required to provide practical nursing care toclients. The College laboratory focuses on the beginning acquisitionof psychomotor practical nursing skills. Clinical experiences permitthe student to transfer nursing content and communication skills intopractice within a nursing process framework. Students begin to relatethe integration of knowledge obtained from nursing, physical scienceand the humanities to plan nursing care in long term care settings.Pre-requisites: Successful Completion of Admission Process; Letterof Acceptance into the Nursing Major/Co-requisites: NURC 024 andNURL 024/Pre/Co-requisites: ENGL 112 and BIO 104 and NUR 023
