This course integrates two distinct but interrelated subject matters – public bureaucracy and disaster management. Disaster management is being used to enlighten students on bureaucratic theories and processes that often appear very difficult for students to learn due to its invisible nature. Students will gain both a theoretical and practical knowledge-base of bureaucracy through key examples of disaster management.
