This is designed to review and affirm the history, cultural values,and family structures of the diverse life styles within African,Asian, Mexican, Puerto Rican and Native American cultures.This examination of diversity will include issues within groups ofgender, class, age, immigration, history, sexual orientation, level ofacculturation, color, language, and religion and spirituality. From anecological perspective, the course will examine social and economicfactors which have shaped the experiences and socioeconomicstatus of persons within these groups and will explore the relevanceof cultural diversity to social work values and practicePre-requisites: SW 302 and ENGL 311
