Description
This course focuses on the psychological aspects of justice and injustice in legal processes, and involves the application of scientific and professional psychology to the analysis of human behavior related to law and the legal system. Viewed from a psychological perspective, course topics will include expert witnesses, jury selection, interrogations and confessions, eyewitness identification, the insanity defense, and the effects of the prison industrial complex on individuals. Culture, injustice, and personal experiences will be considered.
