This course enhances students' understanding and appreciation of the global society in which they live through the study of literature. Students will study literature from multiple regions of the world by reading works from the contemporary period and at least one historical period. The selection of texts will center on recurring themes and critical issues in global literature, such as conflicts between groups of people and movement towards resolution. Students will further develop their reading, writing and research skills.
