Description
Introduction to Speech Communication is designed to strengthen students’ ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of settings, thereby increasing their competence, confidence and marketability in the global community. The course introduces students to communication theories grounded in ethics, critical listening and thinking, gathering, assessing, and analyzing research, and audience analysis. Students will also study classical and modern rhetorical applications and will apply their knowledge and understanding of these applications to interpersonalcommunication, job interviews, small group discussions and public presentations.
