Public Health Ethics

Description

In this course students will explore and discuss central ethical issues in the realm of public health in order to expand the exposure to and understanding of ethical issues in health care, particularly within a public health context which can present different and unique moral issues in comparison to one-on-one or point-of-care ethical contexts. Topics may include individual rights vs. public interest, human rights, epidemiology, epidemiology, the meaning of population health, and disaster management.
