This course explores the practical uses artificial intelligence (AI) in social work practice, with a particular emphasis on social justice and intersectionality. In this course, students will examine how AI technologies can be leveraged to enhance social work practice, while also critically analyzing the ethical, cultural, societal and social justice implications of AI use within the context of inequity and oppression. This course provides students with an intersectionality framework to use to think critically about the potential benefits and challenges of integrating AI into social work practice within a context of promoting social justice and equity.
