Description
CHE 436 is a continuation of CHE 435 and consists of three practical elements: 1) The student will complete a 150-hour practical experience at a community health agency where the student can perform community health education under the supervision of a preferred master’s prepared community or public health practitioner. 2) The student will participate in a seminar which will be an arena for debriefing of the practicum and to present evidenced- based literature related to the capstone project or general community health education. 3) The student will complete a capstone plan that will be carried out at a respective community site and presented to faculty, classmates, and local preceptors at the close of the Spring semester in CHE 436. A comprehensive program and evaluation plan will be submitted to faculty for evaluation and remediation as needed early in the student’s final semester which be finalized by the course faculty.
